Do I follow the directions on the active yeast package and add water to the dry yeast first or put the yeast in the bread straight from the package?<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766005187409403039.post-80518884649878054292012-07-19T12:12:46.885-06:002012-07-19T12:12:46.885-06:00ok, I just took this out of the oven. Its really ...ok, I just took this out of the oven. Its really the first time I've ever made bread. Perhaps this was a little too much for me to take on because it didn't work. My bread really never did rise correctly but I put it in the over anyway and hoped for the best. My dough was super sticky too until I added the cornmeal not sure if it was supposed to be?? The finished bread was very crispy, maybe too crispy on the outside and was only about 2 inches high. The inside did have some nice texture but not a lot of flavor. Should I have "proofed the yeast" first? It didn't say to do so in the instructions but now I'm wondering??Heathernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766005187409403039.post-52147301735195812362010-09-19T08:39:54.437-06:002010-09-19T08:39:54.437-06:00I've used dried rosemary and it works beautifu...I've used dried rosemary and it works beautifully.michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14617050750444837628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766005187409403039.post-92176033269313267102009-08-22T05:47:06.951-06:002009-08-22T05:47:06.951-06:00What do you think about using dried rosemary? What do you think about using dried rosemary?evelaniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07747937048162510597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766005187409403039.post-75526163211107007712009-08-04T01:42:21.121-06:002009-08-04T01:42:21.121-06:00WHY is it that I always come gaze at this post in ...WHY is it that I always come gaze at this post in the wee hours of the morning? When did you start it and when did you eat it? I have to plan a little farther ahead than 2 1/2 hours before dinner to make this! It sure looks good and worth the planning ahead to make it.Alisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03820262717838528113noreply@blogger.com
